60% of Punjab Assembly elected members 40 to 60 years old

Do you know? 37 percent of the elected members in the present assembly tenure of the Punjab Assembly are from age group 41-50 years while 23 percent are from age bracket 51-60 years. In simple words, more than half of the house comprises on elected members who are 40 to 60 years of age.

According to the Punjab Assembly records, the youngest elected member in the house is Hassaan Riaz (PP-162 Sheikhupura-I) who was born on August 27, 1989. His paternal uncle Ch Gulfam Ashraf was member of the house from 1985 to 1988 while his cousin Muhammad Khurram Gulfam has also served member of the Punjab Assembly twice.

Similarly, the eldest elected member of the present Assembly is Maulana Muhammad Rehmat Ullah (PP-74 Jhang-II) who was born on January 27, 1935. His father was member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 1951-55 and 1972-76.
